Buy essay on The Poetry of life

You will never say that Neruda’s plays are only mundane waste of ink. Neruda’s poems and poetry are always influence on people, they are fascinating and truthfully, sincere and touching. Each of his tragedies shows us pure evil or eternal love: different human’s relationships that are why Neruda’s works are famous throughout the centuries. Time changes and people change with it, but main problems and questions are still the same. It can generally be said that this great author shows many-sided people’s relations and feelings, contradictory or high-minded actions. Neruda’s poems touch human feelings and relationships, first, friendship and love. That is why people are looking for the answers for their questions in Neruda’s creations. That is why this man is known by each of us. That is why his works leave some trace in our minds and hearts. Detailed overview can allow getting the main ideas, advantages and disadvantages of a big amount of thoughts, facts and arguments. In conclusion, the inference let us summarize and sum up all the information we are going to discuss. Our core focus will be on the determining main standpoints of different important questions, which I am going to answer through the paper. The aim of the writing is to decide and prove if there were any challenges in the life of Spain and what influences did they have on Spain. It is definitely rhetorical essay.

Spain was beautiful place

The whole work, as it is shown, consists of such plan:

1. (Neruda’s argument) Spain was beautiful place;

2. (Assumption) The War ruined Spain beauty;

3. Condition of an argument x/y. Spain is not the same (due of war). Thus, I am going to follow this plan and prove the audience that each of them is truthful. However, the audience is going to be neutral in the paper. Let me start to explain.

“I lived in a suburb,
a suburb of Madrid, with bells,
and clocks, and trees.
From there you could look out
over Castille’s dry face:
a leather ocean.

My house was called
the house of flowers, because in every cranny
geraniums burst: it was
a good-looking house
with its dogs and children.
Remember, Raul? Eh, Rafel?”

With these words, Neruda begins to show and illustrate the Spain that he loved, the Spain that was loved by each of its citizens and just tourists, the Spain whose beauty was known through the all world and was in the minds of each of humans. The views of Spain and even its air, food and traditions, trees and sun, crashing waves and soft wind – all in Spain made people love and appreciate it through the whole life. Spain was the place where people could have a rest and simply escape from the routine daily life. However, everything that the nature gave people, humanity is likely to ruin and burn. Thus, the Spain and many other the most beautiful and gorgeous places were ruined and burned. From Troe to Spain – that are the results of humans’ misunderstandings, fights and wars. I believe the problem is that human’s being is not perfect and is dual, as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. This book shows the duality of one body, two different characters and two contradictory, opposite persons in one mind. Why was Mr. Hyde bad? According to my opinion, the reasons of such expression are his violence and wildness, hellish nature and madness, having a disgustful curiosity. From times of a Victorian England to nowadays, the male body is a central locus of masculine authority, it means that man’s status thus derives from, and is made visible in, his body. Although the Spain was a beautiful and gorgeous place, it was ruined.

The War ruined Spain beauty

“And one morning all that was burning,
one morning the bonfires
leapt out of the earth
devouring human beings –
and from then on fire,
gunpowder from then on,
and from then on blood.
Bandits with planes and Moors,
bandits with finger-rings and duchesses,
bandits with black friars spattering blessings
came through the sky to kill children
and the blood of children ran through the streets
without fuss, like children’s blood”.

These words in Neruda’s poem show the reader who mush was Spain ruined and how much Neruda (and all the citizens, I believe) worried about it. In addition, the war ruined Spain. The awful and scared event took many lives of innocent people: from children to grow-ups, from sisters to parents. Why did it happen?  These questions have only recently been raised by youth and modern society, and it is not possible, as yet, to answer all of them with any certainty. But people, who died there and who lost there their families and relatives, could not answer these question objectively and definitely could not forget this. Nobody could. However, what do people think? Did all of them recognize the harm, and grief and sorrow? Each of us should answer this question by own. It is obvious, that not only scientists and researches ask themselves such questions, but also each of us, I think. Although the Spain was burnt, nowadays it is in the better condition.

For a long time people are committing crimes. Even ancient humanity understood the importance of existence of some kind of law, which can protect people from crimes, prevent them and forbid actions dangerous to others. Nowadays it calls law. For a very long time now, laws were made in order to realize self-protection, thus stronger people could have done anything they want with weaker men. Time passed, obviously, law progressed, improved and transformed. By reasons given above, in a contemporary world we faces with deeply another kind of law. The need for law is an approved fact, and that goes without saying. However, it could not protect us from everything, I think. Unfortunately, we are none of us always good and we all (at least once at life) do bad things. Evidently, this information do her job, people learned how to use it in order to rich aims. Being informed is important in nowadays world. Now it is obvious to everyone that, to make law succeed and stop the crimes, there must be rules, which we must follow, not ignore. Of course, laws we have, are not perfect and sometimes even contradictory, however we are better off with such laws, than if we had none at all.

Pablo Neruda lived from 1904 to 1973. This poem was written in 1936 called “Explico Algunas Cosas” (I am Explaining a Few Things). His real name was Neftalí Ricardo Reyes Basoalto. Hi is well – known and loved poet, who wrote this poem because of the death of his friend Federico García Lorca, who was the Spanish poet.  He was killed by Franco’s fascists (or nationalist). Neruda had hard life in hard time. But he lived in a beautiful country that was in his heart and that was a muse when Neruda wrote his poems. I can understand but not image all the worry and sorrow of Neruda when he was the witness of the Spain’s crush and burning, its death. All the things he loved were in the fire. His world was standing on knees. If Neruda could have lived in our time, he would see the new Spain that is beautiful nearly as much as was someday.

“Face to face with you I have seen the blood
of Spain tower like a tide
to drown you in one wave
of pride and knives!” – said Neruda. Those are the pain and tears of not only Neruda but also all the Spain.

Spain is not the same

“Treacherous
generals:
see my dead house,
look at broken Spain:
from every house burning metal flows
instead of flowers,
from every socket of Spain
Spain emerges
and from every dead child a rifle with eyes,
and from every crime bullets are born
which will one day find
the bull’s eye of your hearts.

And you’ll ask: why doesn’t his poetry
speak of dreams and leaves
and the great volcanoes of his native land?

Come and see the blood in the streets,
come and see
the blood in the streets,
come and see the blood
in the streets!”

These words are last in Neruda’s poem. I could not even say how much harm had been done. The Poetry of life is always destroyed by wars and other problems and fails of humanity. Although nowadays it is in not so awful condition, it is not the same. It can generally be said that the war are definitely the most awful and scaring event in the history of humanity. Such cruel and severe discrimination of one nation led to the death of nearly whole nation. However, I think, that main problem was in minds of rulers of people. Such peoples as Adolf Hitler, Goebbels, Frank, Robert Weltsch, Martin Buber and others did the history and influenced great on minds of humanity. For example, during the Holocaust in Germany a main and basic the Nazis’ propaganda assault’s instrument seemed to be the Nazi newspaper called “Der Stürmer” (The Attacker) that was published weekly. However, at the bottom of the each front page of every issue, with the use of the bold letters, the newspaper used to proclaim, “The Jews are our misfortune!” The influence of the newspaper was definitely far-reaching. Maybe the reason was also that fact that Jews did not have a leader with strong spirit and ability to pretend the nation. In addition, I am sure, it is the biggest sorrow of humanity, even if Hitler was right in some of his thoughts, as one could think. I believe he was too cruel when decided the destiny of whole nation and “sentenced” to death. How bad or good Jews were, it was not a reason to ignore that they were just the same people as Germans were. Hitler’s unfailing natural instinct in common things scents the first spirit or soul in each of us. However, the means with which Hitler seeks to break such reckless but an upright soul is certainly not honest warfare, but lies and slander. However, here Adolf Hitler stopped at nothing. Moreover, it is not even a question. All people (white or black) were killed. All of them: from child to grown – up, from sister to grandfather. Further still, all the places and countries suffered from the cruelty and angry of rulers, who inspired people to kill and die.

The one more question I would like to talk about is the reasons of wars. Someone lost there his father or mother, someone a wife or a child. To be honest someone could lost there a whole family. Talking about Capitalism, which is a social system that is seemed to be based on the individual rights principle, was mainly contributed by Marx, Lenin, Weber, Borodin and others. However, Engels followed Marx’s thoughts and findings. Lenin did the great contribution when developing this theory. Lenin was the developer of the capitalism in Russia. He found the imperialism the highest rate of capitalism. However, this theory suffered the critics and was improved. The developments of this great historic figure will be described and talked about later. Socialism is the theory that can be defined as one where the private property with income distribution is the subjects to social control. However, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels developed and transformed socialism into the political theory. The contributor also was Karl Kautsky.

The disadvantages of capitalism are such: inequality, monopoly behavior, irrational one, next and last is immobility. Wealth leads to the small population; however, the luxury products demand is traditionally limited to the small workforce part. Irrational behavior is caused by people’s ignoring economic fundamentals. Wages of workers are low because of monopoly (that is gained by companies) that leads to charging higher prices. Free market is seemed to have an opportunity to move aspects and circumstances from an unprofitable sphere to a profitable area of industry easily. However, the advantages of capitalism are such aspects: efficient production and resources’ allocation, active efficiency, financial incentives and others. The advantages of socialism theory are such.  However, the economy is under the control of government, thus, there is no place for bust and boom. The level of employment is higher and health care is universal. This theory helps state or government to take under control the life of the country, especially its economics. Moreover, its benefits are seemed to be both multiple and relative. The disadvantages of this theory are that business scope becomes poorer (that however reduces people and country as whole working with international organizations in the worldwide market). It is diversity and competition lack and high taxes. There is no motivation to get rich when talking about domestic business. Managing becomes harder for the government.

The one more reason is that the power of rulers, who led their people to the war, was too strong and absolute. The power of monarch or government and of the president cannot be compared because there are several reasons. First, the power of President is dealing with advices of the Senate, while king is the “sole and absolute representative of the nation in all foreign transactions” (Hamilton, 1788, pg 1). However, Hamilton said that the President of the United States is to have power to return a bill, which shall have passed the two branches of the legislature, for reconsideration; and the bill so returned is to become a law, if, upon that reconsideration, it be approved by two thirds of both houses. The king of Great Britain, on his part, has an absolute negative upon the acts of the two houses of Parliament (1788, pg 2). The president and a monarch’s power is obviously different. Even the time on which the president or monarch is elected differs. According to the reasons given above, I can conclude that power of president and a monarch cannot be compared.

The paper is rhetoric. Spain was ruined. Although the Spain was burnt, nowadays it is in the better condition. Although nowadays it is in not so awful condition, it is not the same. Neruda saw the Spain burning as his own catastrophe and pain. And I can understand he: Spain was his heart and soul, but not just a place where he lived. Pablo Neruda was a poet who seemed to epitomize both life and humans. Moreover, Pablo Neruda did not die in vain. The Spain is not the same. Even if the Spain is changed, it will not be the same. The same Spain that saw and loved Neruda died. But it is still in people’s hearts and minds thanks to poets (as Neruda, Lorca and others), who gave and brought an eternal life to that Spain. The Spain with its ocean and gorgeous views, food and traditions is remembered. Forever.

What can be said in conclusion? Only one thing. The Spain was beautiful, but one day it was ruined and burned. Now it is not the same. Neruda is a great poet. However, reader should think and answer this question by his own. This paper is dedicated to the Neruda’s poem. To be more correct, its core focus is on the Spain history. Time changes and people change with it, but main problems and questions are still the same. It can generally be said that this great author shows many-sided people’s relations and feelings, contradictory or high-minded actions. Neruda’s poems touch human feelings and relationships, first, friendship and love. But the Min contribution of Pablo Neruda is that readers saw the Spain’s sorrow with Neruda’s eyes. The main core focus of this paper was to show all the sides of the Spain history and its illustration in the Neruda’s poem. The choice (what side to choose the Neruda’s one or the opposite) is reader’s will. The questions about wars and destroyed countries have not been answered yet. But they are still popular among people.
