There is a training I would like to propose. The objectives of the training are to organize knowledge and experience of participants in the field of strategy and tactics of behavior in conflicts; to explore tools for analyzing the situation and the choice of methods of conflict resolution; to master different communicational tools of conflict resolution; to analyze the conflicts from the practice of participants.
And here is the program of the proposed training.
First of all it is necessary to get general views on the conflict: signs of conflict; conflicts and conflict situations: how to define the conflict in the early; factors causing the conflict; phases of the conflict; causes of the organizational conflict; algorithm for sequencing to resolve the conflict.
It is also needed to learn the conflict management tools: factors influencing the effectiveness of the conflict resolution; types of non-constructive and constructive action; different strategies of interaction in the conflict, the choice of optimal strategy; types of forces (internal and external), which can be relied upon in resolving conflicts; various types of conflict (opposition, manipulation, overt pressure); communication technology for effective prevention of the various conflicts.
While holding the training particular methods and tools are to be used. First of all it is necessary to do the exercise to collect the participants’ expectations and agreement with the objectives of the Programme. The next exercises to be done are the ones on the fixation of view of members on the conflict, its causes and ways to resolve. Then the talk should be held, which allows “to agree on terms”. Then it is advisable to hold a mini-lecture “The definition of the conflict”, that represents the scheme of criteria for determining the existence of the conflict and the pattern of motion to resolve the conflict. Then the video of game situations of the participants in the “conflict resolution strategy” for typical situations, perceived as a conflict (resource constraints, lack of interest on the other hand, misunderstanding the situation) should be shown. Next step is the review of the video records to determine the behavioral strategies of the participants, fixation of possibilities and limitations of each strategy and search options for the optimal solutions for each game situation. The mini-lecture “Conflicting manifestations: the objection, manipulation, pressure” follows then. The next steps are: analysis of video illustrations of the various actions of the “opponent” – manipulation, pressure, the objection; exercises to practice the techniques to counteract the pressures, protection against manipulation and respond to objections based on the communicative tools (questions, paraphrase); group exercise “Search for the capabilities and limitations of each solution”. Practicing is held on the example of the case or a situation of participants prepared before.
After the training the participants will get the following results:
they will examine the existing notions about the conflict, in particular: signs of conflict, the factors causing conflict, the dynamics of conflict, ways to get out of it; they will systematize their own knowledge and experience in the field of strategy and tactics of behavior in conflict, compare their own ideas about their actions in conflict with the results of the questionnaire and video. The participants will be able to distinguish constructive conflict from destructive one, possess the algorithm of action to resolve the conflict, and energize to select solutions in cooperation strategy. The participants of the training will be able to distinguish the manipulation, pressure, and objections and to choose the best options for countering.

While trainings on conflict prevention do not bring an immediate profit, their indirect benefits are obvious: they are increasing the productivity by reducing the amount of stress situations and better interaction between the staff and the possibility of more efficient business based on the knowledge, as well as a significant reduction in staff turnover.
