buy essay on Post-Modernism and the Twenty-First Century

I would like to tell you about such theme as “Post-modernism and the Twenty-First Century”. The main goals of my work are to describe the concept of post-modernism, the occurrence of post-modernism and its basic lines, to prove the thesis that a post-modernist style has occurred from a modernist style and to answer question how this concept helps to illuminate the character of the twenty-first century society.
From a modernist style to a postmodernist style
In the ordinary consciousness the term “culture” acts as a collective image which unites a religion, art and a science etc. Each culture is the unique Universe created by the certain relation of a person to the world.
The culture is the realisation of a human creativity and a freedom. Variety of cultures and forms of the cultural development has occurred from here. Each culture generates the specific rationality, the morals and the art and is expressed in symbolical forms.
The word “modernist style” has been used in V century for differentiation of the Christian present status and the Roman pagan past.
Modernism is an art ideology and an aesthetics for the first time in the history preferring not the tradition (antique and Christian) but to values “modern” such as a freedom and individuality. Modernism applied for the post of liberal neo-religion in which the main place would be taken away to art as to the form of self-expression of the person.
Since then modernism (the accessory to the present) always assumed the necessity of consciousness of an epoch to correlate itself to the antiquity. There were periods of transition from old to new, therefore the term “new”, modernism considered itself since the Age of Enlightenment. The culture of a modernist style of any epoch always looked back at the antiquity, but criticising it, a modernist style has never refuse it completely.
The modernism is used in the meaning “the modern art”. It is distinguished by a particular interest to creation of the new forms which has been opposed to forms of classical art. The new world view demanded a new ideological platform which has been formulated on the phenomenology, psychoanalysis, and the existentialism.
The modernist currents developed not separately from each other in the different kinds of arts. In the middle of ХХ century the modernist style began to get the steady tendency to oppose stories and traditions in general and to tear historical links.
There is an attempt to synthesise the different beginnings in the course of creativity, creating a new view on a subject. The volume, full, emotional saturation are among them. The parity of colour with a musical sound, a dancing plasticity with various smells is investigated.
The artist was offered to win space and future time without being guided by any instructions. He did not know any rules of behaviour in this opened to him future. There was a new turn in the West European aesthetics in the middle of the XX-th century. This turn is accepted to call “post-modernism” in the cultural science.
The concept of post-modernism
The word “post-modern” has appeared on the American continent from under a feather of sociologists and critics. This term has started to be used widely since 1979 when there was a book of French philosopher Jean-Francois Liotar “Post-modernist condition”. He also has given it the modern sense. “Post-modernism” became one of most often used terms in the periodical press of a humanitarian direction.
It is possible to speak about its three basic senses:
1. The term “post-modernism” reflects a condition of spirituality of the European type.
2. Post-modernism is a complex of the philosophical doctrines proclaiming the end of story when the structure and orderliness of the human world will be destroyed and the division on “my” and “other” will disappear.
3. Postmodernism is a characteristic of the modern art practice, based on the special type of the letter and connected with entropy of sense.
